Helmut Lang PreFall 2011

Personal Style Muse

Caroline B of Stockholm Streetstyle and Caroline's Mode, is a Swedish Blogger Extrordinaire with style that's to die for! She's epitome of my personal style, on much more grand payscale of course... I should say what I would like my personal style to be: Chic basics, borderline uniform. With a wardrobe full of Helmut Lang, Isabel Marant, T by Alexander Wang, McQ by Alexander McQueen, and a plethora of Balenciaga Motorcycle bags (did I mention that's my favorite handbag of all time?) this women is pretty much who I want to be, or at least dress like!

DIY Biker Style

I've been on a bit of a creative kick lately... from rearranging the decor of my home to making handbags and repurposing vintage clothing, it's safe to say I'm on a roll!! My most recent project didn't involve making a purse, but rather embellishing one. My boyfriend's family bought me a handbag for Christmas and as cute as it was, I immediately saw the possibility of improvement.

I wish I would have a taken a "before" picture, but basically I just cut strips of leather from a pair of shorts I bought a local thrift store and pull them through the existing metal rings. With a pair of scissors and a thrift store find I turned a cute bag into an AMAZING bag!!!

C'est Chic

Christmas List

If budgets were nonexistent my ultimate this would be my ultimate night-out look. I love an over-sized  tee with leather shorts. In this case I'd pair them with tights and a fitted blazer, and the Pièce de résistance is the Mulberry Alexa bag and Giuseppe Zanotti leopard wedges.
In clockwise order:
1. McQ tailored blazer $545
2.Wildfox Couture tee $85
3. Mulberry Alexa Handbag $1250
4. Giuseppe Zanotti leopard wedges $1195
5. Maison Martin Margiela leather shorts $790
6. basic black tights from anywhere!

loving leopard coats

4-2

This post is dedicated to my friend Sara T (check out her blog), who asked me way to wear her new leopard coat. While it's a bit cold in the midwest for shorts, I'm loving this look from Aimee Song of Song of Style!

Hermione- All Grown Up

In celebration of the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt.1, here is a street style pic of the gorgeous Emma Watson. As soon as the movie wrapped she chopped off her hair, and I've got to say I'm loving it!

Project Runway's Michael Drummond

Not only is Michael Drummond my favorite contestant on season 8 of Project Runway because he hails from my hometown of St. Louis, MO, but also because of his beautiful designs and aesthitic. Dark and edgy are key to capturing my attention and Mr. Drummond has done just that. After showing a 'decoy' collection at New York Fashion Week, Michael was sent home (unrightfully so in my opinion) on Episode 8 (which aired last Thursday). These 10 pieces are from Michael's show at NYFW. Looks 8 & 10 are without a doubt my favorite!
